NOTD

IMG_0729

IMG_0732

Of course, I had to buy something from the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors line, and no matter what you think about this family they are brilliant at marketing their brand.
When they first started showing glimpses of this collection, the only one that really caught my eye was Khloe had a little Lam-Lam, also I love all the names of the polishes
so cheesy, yet so good.

I love dark colours on my nails, and this is a nice pigmented creme-finish dark teal that is very glossy. I highly recommend it and think it is one of the more unique ones from the collection.
My only gripe is the brush, because it is cut on an angle and makes it a little tough to apply but it's fine.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Laced Up

I have purchased these before, and while they are easy and look nice, I must admit I did not like these as much as others. They are pretty easy to put on as long as you follow the directions which are simple and put a top coat over, they last over a week but I usually get sick of them to let them last any longer. My only concern was while I had this particular one on someone asked me if I had "shatter" nail polish on. Hmph I have shatter, and essentially paid another $8.99 for people to think I had it on.
Probably would not repurchase this particular one, but will definitely purchase other patterns.

I am slowly becoming obsessed with sheer tops, this one I found in H&M for $14.95 and also bought in a creamy white colour. It makes me happy that fall is here because I feel like fall is the time to bust out your moccasins, thus what I did today.

DISNEY

IMG_0441

I am 100% a believer in the magic of Disney, which you have to be to enjoy the happiest place on earth.

Animal Kingdom literally blew my mind, it is a zoo on crack, from ALL the animals, the rides and the parade. I was expecting to like it but not LOVE it, and honestly I wouldnt skip it.

Epcot on the other hand mixes learning and fun, and if that's is your deal you will love it. I enjoyed it of course, but if I were to rate them it would be the bottom of the list.

IMG_0380

I enjoyed this little treat in the America Pavillion, MMM!

IMG_0494

I enjoyed this treat while watching Indiana Jones, which is an amazing classic, Hollywood Studios is home to my second favourite ride of the trip, the Toy Story ride, is a 3D interactive ride where you play kind of arcade games, literally the most fun I've ever had.

IMG_0509

and we saved the best for last, Magic Kingdom!

IMG_0541

IMG_0597

Words cannot describe how much I loved Magic Kingdom, from when the park opened to every ride we went on, it literally is pure FUN!

Florida: Universal Studios

This summer, I headed to a place I have been dying to go since 1998 (the last time I was there)... Florida!

I pretty much had the best vacation ever so here are some photos from being in Universal Studios!

IMG_0058

IMG_0137
I was obsessed with the Seuss part of the park, it was just so bright and fun!

IMG_0212
The Simpsons are new-ish to the park and if you were ever a fan of the show, you will be so impressed, I loved it and the ride was so much fun

and finally the part that I was unsure how much I would enjoy, because I am not a Harry Potter fan, ended up being my favourite part of Universal

IMG_0122

IMG_0096

The Harry Potter part of the park was unreal, they literally take you into that world. The ride was the most fun, waiting in line they take you through Hogwarts and is an experience. Once you actually reach the ride you are "flying on a broom" and it was one of the best rides ever.

Also, you MUST to try the frozen butter beer because it is the most delicious thing on this planet!

My Life Saver

DSC03724
(yes I do picture the title being sang a la J.Biebs)

I am awful when it comes to taking care of myself when it comes to the sun, and I won't lie I love getting a tan because I am typically the colour of paper. Which leads to getting burnt, bright red skin that needs a little TLC. And I present to you the Healer: Banana Boat Moisturizing Aloe Aftersun. I slather this stuff on morning and night and if the burn is really bad, whenever it starts to hurt I slap some more on. It keeps me from peeling and sets into the skin pretty quickly. Just try it out, its inexpensive and can be found in most drugstores and although I do not recommend putting it on your face as it makes it shiny, when you are desperate, you are desperate and it didn't cause any breakouts on my face!

shocking!

This colour China Glaze Shocking Pink is absolutely gorgeous, however that is the only thing I would put as a "PRO" if I were to rate it. It looks so nice on tanned skin, however you must apply three coats because it is so incredibly streaky, and then a top coat because it appears almost matte without one, and to top it all off it chips easily (note my thumb). I have come to terms that I hate china glaze nail polish, they produce pretty colours, that are awful nail polishes that aren't cost effective either. I put less effort into applying my $2.50 Sally Hansen polishes that sometimes go on better, as I do with CG, and do not appreciate when I spend $8 on a polish to run into these troubles. So while I'll continue to wear it, I have officially sworn off China Glaze. Save your pennies and buy more expensive, better quality or buy the $2.50 polishes, but either way get what you pay for.

summer end sales

IMG_0031

Summer is ending, which is always depressing however summer end sales are always exhilarating. I had to share my purchases with you guys because they were so thrilling.I'm going on vacation to Florida so still wanted new fun stuff to wear, while strolling through the Material Girl racks at The Bay found incredible deals. Everything was on sale and then 30% off, the dress was $13 dollars, and the shorts $11 ! Crazy, then I needed a hat because although I have never burnt my scalp in 21 years, my mother is convinced the Florida sun will do so. So I went searching, which is impossible to find cute summer hats at the end of summer, but alas I went to the men's section in The Bay and found this beauty for $5, after the mark-downs and percentages off. And put the icing on the cake, I had used six products up at MAC and got a free eye shadow, Copperplate which is a gorgeous matte grey.
Although your eyes may be wet, with the impending doom of cold weather, dry your eyes my dear friends with your summer end purchases!

Shake the Glitter, Shake Shake Shake the Glitter.

DSC03905

I am in love with glitter nail polish, especially this one. It reminds me of Katy Perry, I'm not sure why. I have the colour Persian Blue by Joe Fresh underneath, and this Rockstar Pink by Sally Hansen.
This nail polish is extremely inexpensive, $2.50 at Wal-Mart however I have had other glitter nail polishes from this line and they don't last even 9 months so beware.

You do not need a nailpolish underneath I just wanted to, the glitter is very fine and blue, silver, gold, red and magenta but be sure to put a top coat on so the glitter doesn't catch on things.

I love it. I love Glitter. And if you're terrified of removing it, you need to get your paws on some 100% pure acetone (which you can also puchase at Wal-Mart), a cotton pad, hold it on the nail and wipe away!

What's In My Purse?

DSC03360

DSC03365

I love seeing what is in other peoples bags, I think it shows a lot about people especially when if its clean/messy and if they have tons of random stuff. I think if you look in my purse it shows I'm just a big kid at heart. The bag was $12 on sale at Von Maur and I think it was originally $35 about two years ago. I use it everyday and if you had seen it sans cleaning, you would see movie ticket stubs and concert tickets and lots and lots of receipts because I never empty my purse ever.

So what is inside:
Bandaids
Gushers (I like to always have a snack)
Excel Gum in the flavour Polar Ice
Nivea Milk and Honey Lip Balm
Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine
MAC lipstick in Innocence Beware from the Venomous Villains Collection
Comb from Sally's
Estee Lauder Lip Gloss in Pink Glaze
L'oreal Jelly Balm in Plush
Barbie keychain and keys
Hair Clip
Ariel coin purse from H&M kids section
Ariel and Aurora tins from a vending machine that holds Advil and Gum
Coach Wallet
Evil eye keychain charm that broke, but I got it in Greece and am too scared to throw out
Vinegar and a Straw from Harveys ...?
Mint from Boston Pizza
Tooth Picks (by GUM rubber-tipped so they dont hurt, love.)
and Batteries

Yes this is all currently in my purse, but with receipts and kids meal toys that I get all the time and only take out when my bag gets too heavy hah I am a 21 yr old child.....

Pink Popsicle Lips

DSC03676
The second that I slapped this lipstick on all I could think of was it made my lips look like just ate a pink popsicle. It is a Boots N7 Moisture Drench lipstick and extremely creamy. I purchased it at Shoppers Drug Mart, and they were getting rid of all N7 products, so I hope other Canadians are able to get there hands on this lipstick. It feels high end and I was able to get it and Sienna for $2.50

It feels very smooth, it doesn't feel waxy or have a strange texture, the taste is pleasant and it doesn't dry out my lips or emphasize flaws like dryness, cracks etc.

Its just a very comfortable lipstick that I had to tell someone about and I highly recommend it because it is affordable and I want to try more wearable everyday colours of the moisture drench line.

Its my first N7 product, feel free to comment if you have tried these and what else from this brand is good!

Maxi Dresses

maxiiii
I'm officially obsessed, this is from H&M and I purchased it 2 weeks ago for $19 but it is now onsale for $10

Maxi dresses make you feel free, if you want to just frolick in the sun, a maxi dress is the item to do it in. They are also extremely versatile because depending on how you accessorize and the style of the dress itself it can be dressed up or down.

Here are also some photos floating around online of maxi dresses that I love..

Ins and Outs

DSC03690
so if you ever followed lollipop26writes blog, Laura used to do these and its kind of like a favourites but shows what youre loving and not...
so here goes:

In:
Blogging: so I'm officially going to start blogging again, for real this time, its summer
and I think about posting and take pictures but never end up putting them up, now I will.

McDonalds Caramel Ice Coffee: these $1 drink days are a killer, but so good. If you tried the Vanilla and weren't a fan, try the Caramel!

Being productive: Since I have been on summer break since May, I did absolutely nothing except go on twitter, tumblr, youtube and blogs. Until now when I started babysitting, you realize how short the day is and get things done.

Shorts: I never really wear dresses or skirts, but once it gets hot out (which it definitely is now) I break out the shorts and have been LOVING white shorts.

Out:

Sleep: although I've been enjoying this whole productivity thing, getting up at 7am is not my thing

Makeup: I've been leaving the house with just mascara and bronzer everyday

Youtube: I used to make videos under AlsMakeup and I wont say I'll never go back, however I read a blog about how what you put online is a representation of who you are and you should own it, I feel like a lot of times though I was relatable, I came off as an airhead talking about how bad I want my hair to grow for 10 mins, so they are privated for now..
